QR Code Reader From Image
Read a QR code from an image online: choose a photo or screenshot, drop it on the page or paste it from the clipboard. The reader finds every QR code in the picture, up to 32 at once, shows links with their full address before you open them, and keeps your images on your device.
Input
Ready for images
Type or paste a code
Type the digits or text in the field below and press Enter. Product numbers are checked like a scanned code.
Waiting for the scanner
Paste the codes you expect, then scan.
Result
The code you scan appears here with what it means.
Session
No scans yet
Codes you scan are listed here, newest first.
Earlier sessions saved in this browser, newest first. New session moves the current one here.
The camera reads the same code again only after it has been out of view this long, so a code held in front of it counts once. In Count mode each new read adds one.

What the Reader Shows for Each QR Code
Each result shows the decoded content with actions that fit it, and folded Technical details.
Links
A web address is shown in full, with an Open button that names the host, so you can check where it leads first. Links that are not http or https get no button.
Wi-Fi Details and Contact Cards
Wi-Fi codes, contact cards and other content are shown with their fields named, such as the network name, security and password of a Wi-Fi code. Nothing is applied to your device automatically.
Error Correction Level
The Technical details show the error correction level, L, M, Q or H. A higher level means the QR code can be read with more of it damaged or covered.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I Read a QR Code From a Photo on My Phone?
Yes. Press Choose images and pick the photo from your library. The photo is read in your phone's browser and is not uploaded.
How Many QR Codes Can It Read in One Image?
Up to 32 in each image, upright, sideways or upside down. You can also choose several images at once, and each result names the image it came from.
Can It Read a Blurry QR Code?
Often. When a QR code does not read, the reader sharpens, evens out and straightens the picture in your browser and tries again, and Repair by hand lets you adjust each step. A code blurred so much that its modules merge cannot be read; take a new photo.
Can I Read a QR Code From a PDF?
Not directly. Zoom in on the PDF page, take a screenshot of the QR code and paste it here.
Does the Reader Open Links Automatically?
No. It shows the full address and an Open button with the website's name, and nothing opens until you press it.
What Is the Difference Between the QR Code Reader and the QR Code Scanner?
The reader works with images you already have, several at once. The QR code scanner reads codes live from your camera.
