- On LinkedIn, open your profile with View Profile; your public profile URL is under Public profile & URL.
- Type the part after linkedin.com/in/ above, or paste the whole link.
- Check the encoded link below the form, then download the code as SVG for print or PNG for screens.
- Scan a test print with a phone and check that it opens your profile.
LinkedIn QR Code Fields
A LinkedIn QR code holds one link: your public profile address, built from its custom URL or pasted as it is.
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn profile URL or name | Yes | The last part of your public profile URL, after linkedin.com/in/. A full linkedin.com link, such as a company page, is used as it is. |
| Encoded form | https://www.linkedin.com/in/<custom URL>, or a linkedin.com link pasted as it is |
|---|---|
| Example | https://www.linkedin.com/in/yourname |
| Special characters | None: the end of the public profile URL is written as LinkedIn shows it |
| When scanned | It is a web link: readers open it, and the phone shows the profile in the LinkedIn app or the browser |
| Checked before drawing | A typed name must be 3 to 100 characters with no spaces or slashes. A pasted link must be on linkedin.com, including a country address such as ca.linkedin.com, and is kept exactly as pasted. |
| Read back by Barcode.codes | The Barcode.codes scanner shows the link in full with an Open button naming its host, linkedin.com. |
| Standard | LinkedIn's help pages give the public profile URL as an address starting with www.linkedin.com/in; LinkedIn also has its own QR code for each member in the mobile app, under the QR code in the search bar. |
| Size of the example | The generator's example is 36 characters long: a version 3 QR code of 29 × 29 modules at error correction M. |
| Error correction | Choose L (about 7% of the code can be restored), M (about 15%, the default), Q (about 25%) or H (about 30%), as DENSO WAVE lists them; a higher level makes a larger code. |

Your LinkedIn Public Profile URL
LinkedIn gives a public profile an address that starts with www.linkedin.com/in, and you can choose its last part.
Where to Find It
LinkedIn shows the URL under Public profile & URL on the right of your profile page. It appears only if your profile is set to public, so check that setting first if you cannot find it.
Choosing a Custom URL
LinkedIn's rules for a custom URL: 3 to 100 characters, with no spaces, symbols, special characters or the word LinkedIn. Custom URLs go first come, first served, and you can change yours up to five times within six months.
Country Addresses
In some countries the address starts with a two-letter country code, such as ca.linkedin.com for Canada. Paste that link as it is: the generator keeps any linkedin.com address exactly as you copied it.
LinkedIn's Own QR Code and This One
The LinkedIn mobile app has a QR code for every member; a code from this page holds your profile link as a standard QR code to download instead.
LinkedIn's App Code
LinkedIn's help says to open the mobile app, tap the QR code in the search bar and open the My code tab. From there you can share your code or save it to your photos, and the Scan tab reads other members' codes.
When a Plain QR Code Helps
A code from this page is a link you can download as SVG or PNG at the size you need for print, and make on a computer. It carries no LinkedIn branding, so add a line beside it, such as Connect on LinkedIn.
A LinkedIn QR Code on a Resume or Business Card
Download the code as SVG so it stays sharp at any size, and keep the blank margin around it when you place it on a resume or a card.
Print a test copy and scan it with a phone from the distance people will hold the page. For a card with your name, phone and email as well, a vCard QR code holds the whole contact.
vCard QR code generator a contact card people save to their phone.
A LinkedIn QR Code Generator Without an Account
No account is needed here: the code is drawn in your browser from the link, and Barcode.codes never contacts LinkedIn.
Because nothing is looked up, the generator cannot tell whether a profile exists or is public. Scan a test print and check that it opens the right profile before you print many.
