QR Code Generator With Logo: Free and Checked to Scan

Add your logo to the middle of a QR code, free. Upload a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG, set its size, and the generator raises error correction, clears the modules behind the logo and reads the result back with a QR decoder before you can download it as SVG, PNG, WebP or JPEG. The logo never leaves your browser.

Every change is read back with the same decoder as the Barcode.codes scanner; the downloads stay off until it reads the exact content.

How to Make a QR Code With a Logo

Enter the content, upload the logo, choose its size, wait for the check and download the code.

  1. Type or paste the web address or text the QR code should hold.
  2. Upload your logo as PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG, up to 2 MB.
  3. Set the logo width between 10% and 30% of the code.
  4. Wait until the badge says Scans: the code has been read back with a QR decoder.
  5. Download SVG for print, or PNG, WebP or JPEG at the output DPI you choose.

Logo Files and Sizes

The logo can be a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG image of up to 2 MB, placed in the middle at 10% to 30% of the code's width.

Logo File Types

  • PNG and WebP: keep a transparent background; the designer puts a plate in the background color behind the logo.
  • JPEG: works, with its own background.
  • SVG: stays sharp at every size in the SVG download.

Logo Size

The slider sets the logo's width as a share of the code, from 10% to 30%; its height follows the image's proportions. A larger logo covers more modules, so the largest sizes may fail the check with long content. The check then tells you, and a smaller logo or shorter content fixes it.

How a Logo Fits in the Middle of a QR Code

A QR code carries spare error correction codewords, so a scanner can rebuild the part of the code a logo covers.

Error Correction Level H

QR codes have four error correction levels: L restores about 7% of the codewords, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. As soon as you add a logo, the designer switches to H, which makes the code a little denser but leaves the most room for the logo.

Modules Behind the Logo

The modules under the logo, plus half a module around it, are left out, and a plate in the background color sits behind the logo. The three square finder patterns in the corners are never covered.

Why Every Logo QR Code Is Read Back

A logo can make a QR code unreadable without any sign, so the designer reads each version with a QR decoder before you can download it.

The check uses the same decoder as the Barcode.codes scanner, in the fast mode it uses for camera frames, on the drawing at a few pixels per module. The download buttons stay off until it reads back exactly your content. Print a test copy too, and scan it at the size and distance it will be used.

Logo Rights and Privacy

Your logo is read in your browser and placed in the code there; it is not uploaded to Barcode.codes.

Use only a logo you own or have permission to use, such as your company's. The finished QR code holds your content directly, with no redirect, so it keeps working as long as the content does.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is This QR Code Generator With Logo Free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit, and the codes do not expire. The logo is added in your browser.

Does a Logo Make a QR Code Harder to Scan?

It can, because it hides part of the code. Error correction level H and the size limit leave room for it, and the designer reads every version back before download; keep the logo small if the check fails.

How Big Should the Logo Be?

Start around 20% of the code's width. The designer allows up to 30%, and the read-back check shows whether your content and logo still work together at the size you choose.

Can I Use an SVG Logo?

Yes. An SVG logo stays sharp in the SVG download and is drawn at the output DPI in PNG, WebP and JPEG. It must be a self-contained SVG; images it links to elsewhere are not loaded.

Can I Make a Wi-Fi QR Code With a Logo?

Yes. Fill in the Wi-Fi form on the Wi-Fi QR code page, copy the encoded content it shows, and paste it here as the content. Then add your logo as usual.

Will My Logo QR Code Expire?

No. The code holds your web address or text directly, with no redirect through Barcode.codes, so it never expires and its scans are not tracked here.
